Thank you.  Yes I hope they go down the route of either, some people can't have the vaccine because of health issues so they'd need to make allowances for them too.

Yes I believe you need a Spanish will if you own a property there. I think there were allowances to have your will considered under English Law but you'll need to check that....

...

All the best,

Rachael.

Hi.  You absolutely,  definitely need a Spanish Will which is drawn up to recognise UK law.  The laws on death in Spain are nothing like in the UK.  A Notary can help you do it, although we used the Estate Agent we purchased through who also does this kind of thing.  Cost us €150 per will and we needed one each as it was a joint purchase but we aren't married. Hope this helps.

Hi

We are booked on flights from the UK for 14th May, when we complete on are property in Murcia. We will both have had our second vaccinations by then in the UK. If we can still fly into Spain on that date we expect that we will also need a test 72 hours before we fly, hope to know more in April/May.

...y.

You would think that anyone showing proof of 2 vaccinations would suffice. Just more money to pay for the 72 hour test, ridiculous.

Thanks for that. Not too worried about not being able to visit LA at present. This may need confirming but I've just heard on bbc breakfast that Spain is insisting on the wearing of masks on the beach! The resulting tans will raise a few laughs!

Maybe but at least the wearers will still be alive afterwards!

Have you had water bills like me, I've only owned the property for a month but had a bill for 42 euros. Didn't expect it as the place is empty

Your water and electricity come regardless. We pay 27 every 2months and 37 to 42 for electricity if you move in permanently the tarrifs change but you have to contact your suppliers

Actually a certain amount of sun is beneficial to the body in order to get the vitamin D that the body requires to keep healthy. There are now quite a few cases of rickets too, because of the over-use of sun block creams and people covering themselves up from the rays of the sun. You will also possibly know that vitamin D supplements are currently being recommended by doctors (who virtually never recommend anyone taking vitamins or supplements) in order to improve the body's immune system so that it can fight against illnesses such as cancer and covid. Everything has its balance in life!

The vaccine will prevent the recipient contracting Covid-19 (or, in the vast majority of cases, at least significantly reduce the impact of the virus on the person's health) - however, it is not confirmed whether it stops the person carrying the virus and still being able to infect others...

Do not rely on what you are told! You can check whatever you need to know by visiting the Government website section - Living in Spain and the Spanish Government website.

The Websites specifically advise what is permitted and are updated when changes occur.

www.gov.uk/ living in Spain

The gov.uk website relates to UK citizens only. It does not provide information for holders of Irish passports, who can travel within the EU - including to Spain.

Yes I have been offered several times by estate agents letters to show authority that I am viewing properties so have a right to move around the country. But just because it is legal due to finance does it make it sensible or morally right. No I have not took up the offer as it's everyone's responsibility to not allow this desease to continue to spread.
