Not much humour on this forum zacdog so a relief for once well done! That is why I watch but don’t post very often! However Gem I cannot believe that you have said Nicola Sturgeon is honest and humble? She is playing a game with the uk government in which she is more interested in scoring points against them rather than the issue of covid19! (eg we are allowed to have 6 in the garden socially distancing, 2 hours later she announces Scotland can have 8)!  I reiterate Boris is doing the best he can and I don’t agree with everything he is doing but I am glad it’s him and not corbyn! Also remember he was out of action for at least 4 weeks that’s why he had to send people to represent him!

Well done Boris Johnson,  you've handled the crappy end of a stick with grit and determination, despite the left orientated media and remoaners trying their hardest to harm our great nation.

Totally disgusted with their hypocritical, no social distancing protesting antics in London last couple of days over something that happened in America.   Where on earth were all the protesters when the young soldier and father Lee Rigby was brutally murdered in their City not many year...

...s ago.

Well done Boris alright, only 50,000 dead and still rising and idiot advisor calling the shots!!

Amazing that all devolved countries (not just Scotland and Sturgeon) decided to play it safe and continued to tell people to  STAY HOME - PROTECT THE NHS - SAVE LIVES  as opposed to the vague STAY ALERT - CONTROL THE VIRUS - SAVE LIVES.  Deliberately vague enough to ensure his lacky Cummings could make his various trips, whilst the majority followed the directives. (Do as I say, not as I do!)

Sturgeon had at least had the integrity and honesty to admit that mistakes have been made. All you hear from Boris cronies is the usual claptrap that is typical of most politicians.

Of course she is going to exploit the weak leadership that has been shown by the UK Government, however having watched several of her broadcasts, she has come across as one of the more honest and truthful of the lot! At least she answers questions when asked, as opposed to the usual politician 'non-replies'.

Yes indeed, Boris was ill for a month, but we are constantly being told he has been back at the helm for several weeks now, but you barely see him.

I'm certainly not saying that Corbyn would have done better, far from it, however my initial comment was made in response to the poster who seemed pleased and proud at Boris' leadership, which has been anything but good or great!  For goodness sake, even some of his own MPs have stated as much.

What about the farce of 100,000 tests/day by end of April which was promised but never delivered? (numbers manipulated to put a spin on it)

What about the much vaunted 'track and trace' which was promised to be effectively up and running by June 1st, but still not working properly? (and unlikely to be at the much needed level any time soon)

We now have the latest farce of a 14 day quarantine for overseas visitors, which has been implemented far too late and against SAGE medical advice!

Too slow to lockdown the UK and did not grasp the opportunity to learn from other countries who hit the first surge before the UK.

Of course these are unprecedented and extremely difficult times, but if that's the best that Boris can do, please don't tell me that this is great leadership!

I'll now go and watch another comedian of a leader (far worse to be fair!) on the US news channel!

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Thought I'd left you in your corner Zzzzzzzacdog. As ever, quick to respond but never actually addressing the comments.

Of course that's much easier - just like the politicians you say are doing such a wonderful job. Full of bluster and wind!!!

A lefty cretin? Questions and points raised obviously getting under your skin. Go back to your kennel and have a scratch Zzzzzzzacdog!

Don't worry - I am well away from you enjoying my life in sunny Spain. Zzzzzzzzzzz.............................

some people on here are not only opinionated but very nasty too, be kind and keep nastiness to yourself. Each is allowed to have their own opinion you do not have to agree but you also do not have to answer with such venom.

If you are referring to my posts, I don't believe they have been venomous, but I see Zacdog has removed his, which indeed were!

Yes, i do have my opinion which is my right and I believe my response to Zagdogs 'digs' have been very restrained.

Oh dear my innocuous comment about social distancing has sparked all this off or maybe it was my comment about bonkers Boris.

I agree with a lot you say, Gem, but not all. Re: Jeremy Corbyn, not a fan but think he and his party would have handled things better and shown more concern for people's lives. Re: Nicola Sturgeon, if I lived in  Scotland, I'd vote for her, she is honest.

Still, things could be worse, I could be American.
