Just my personal view, I live in the UK but have a home in the Alicante area. I think we should ban all air travel, sea travel and train travel from every country no going anywhere. We need to knock this virus on its head. I can't wait to get back to the sun, however .......

Couldn't agree more. I know it's tough not being able to go where we want (I have not been to my villa for over a year), but unless something is agreed worldwide to stop flying, this thing will carry on. I would have preferred a strong draconian approach in the first place. Let's just hope that the vaccines will work, even if they do, the benefit will take time to filter through.

Try telling that to the people that live in Spain and work in the UK!

Me being one of them, and at this very moment  sunday 27th December I am  spending Christmas away from my husband to look after a disabled client... and I will not be returning until 4th January...

I agree, it's hard for everyone in different ways. It'll be even harder if we don't control it.

To those who live in Spain but work in the  UK you have watched what is happening in the UK where the virus has raged through the country, have you had the vaccine? because I wouldn't risk my health or that of my family and friends by constantly going into a country where the levels of this virus is so high. Surely it would be better if we all stayed in our own area with no travel to any part of the world until we have caged this tiger?  Your health is far more important than any job.

You try telling that to those who rely on you for their care and well being! As a health care provider/ NHS or whichever role play...you dont just give up because the going gets tough! Where would all those people be with all the above to look after their well being....your obviously NOT in the caring profession!! People like you disgust me!!!

Well actually I am a retired quaified nurse, so that is another thing you have wrong! I am not flying from one country to another with lots of people in a small tin can. And those people you care for I am sure when they think it through might not want you bringing the virus to their door! So please think of not only your health but theirs too. I am aware that you get very well paid for being a carer in another country but is it really worth it?

That depends what you call well paid? I would be delighted for you to put a figure on it.

I am a retired Phlebotomist....but went into care work after retiring.

My client is fine with my travel arrangements, he does Ned a great deal of care, only meal prep and the  running of a 6 bedroomed house...i quarantine for the first (now 10days ) and wear PPE.
