We are in the process of buying an apartment in Mar de Cristal as a holiday home for friends and family. However I am very worried about the future of the water quality in the lagoon and its future. Can anyone assure me or point out where I can keep updated as to its future. Anita

Its a major issue, big enough that it will have to solved, as you will see if you go to www.murciatoday.com

It's a major issue. The water is a no go along the MM at the moment. It's very sad. I really hope that there is a solution. Ecologists have been warning about the quality of the water for years, but nothing has been done. There are other beaches that I know of, Callablanque, Cala Cortina, all med side. Sorry I know it's not what you want to hear.
