Hi All, i am 66 years old next year, so that will make me a pensioner & intend moving to Spain next year to live on a NLV visa.
So the question is, can i go on the Spanish healthcare system for Free if i'm a pensioner ?

I would look at the NLV application criteria on the BLS Spanish Visa website, they now process applications instead of the Spanish Consulates. There are several things needed to meet the criteria, income/capital, police record, doctors letter etc. If you are a pensioner you will need to get an S1 form from NHS UK, Overseas Healthcare Services. This then needs preregistering in Spain, and a Certificate of this needs to be taken to your appointment. at BLS. The final part of it I believe is done when you arrive in Spain and have your 1 year NLV. There are several online sources with helpful info, Upsticks to Spain on Youtube has many helpful links.

When you are in receipt of your uk state pension you need to apply for your S1 from DWP and this gives you access to Spanish health system
