Hi

Recently bought in LA but not resident

Can Someone tell me what council taxes we are accountable for as a property owner. We do not rent and only visit occasionally. We are part of a gated community

IBI is similar to council tax and may include basura (waste) or paid separately

Non resident tax paid anually .

There could also be bills for utilities - water and electricity - which have base costs as well as usage, and if you have one a vado fee.

You have the normal stuff in Spain as you  do in England...so electric  standing charge   warter as you use plus small standing charge...gas comes in bottles  not sure  of cost as we not use the ibis same as poll tax but lots lots cheaper especially  if you non resident  and you pay once a year..not sure  if you have to pay complex fees.example Gardens pool ect ect......we have private small bungalow/villa so we do not have complex fees just the normal stuff and like you we none resident  our ibi was 200.00 euros for the year our electricity  does vary  according to use as does the warter....we also pay towards the bins emptying it's about 300.00 per year but all on estate pay so not to bad ....hope this helps you
