Winter weather - Page 2

Dear me, you have a strange idea about what cold and wet is! In March the average daytime temperature at San Javier airport is 20c with 40mm of rain a month and 7 hours of sun per day. That gives the area about the climate as Birmingham in July! We were in Los Alcazares last March for 2 weeks and it was warm and sunny with very little rain. Andy

Two weeks does not represent the whole winter does it Andy.

Weather is cool in winter months but certainly not cold like the UK. No frost or ice for example but heating of some form is required and a jacket for night. Scarf is useful as winds feel very cold. Los alcázares is quiet in the winter but certainly not dead, its why we chose to live here. Lots of restaurants and bars close but lots stay open. We have at least 20 in walking distance all year round which is a pretty good choice. Nobody has mentioned that airport will be Corvera by Feb, about 30 min drive. This place is great come and enjoy
