Thinking of moving to Urrutias.
Can anyone tell more information on the village. I have heard estate agent description but I would to hear from real people who live here. Thank you in advance.

We bought a house in Los Urrutias (Punta Brava) last September.
I would describe it as follows:
Los Urrutias is a “suburb” of Cartagena. On this stretch of the Costa Calida there are 3/4 little villages who flow into each other: Punta Brava, Los Urrutias, Estrella de Mar & El Carmoli.
I think you will need a car to do the shopping.
The first 3 are direct at the Mar Menor. El Carmoli is build on the other side of the street and very uphill.
Punta Brava is a sleepy village with a pub. All houses are “private property” and have no community fee, OK you pay your normal “town tax”. According to our builder Punta Brava is the “driest” part of them when it comes to “gota friea” (heavy rainfalls could be 20/30 liter in an hour >Sept. 2019<)
Los Urrutias (the oldest part of the three) has a supermarket, a vet, GP,
Estrella de Mar is the touristy (with a new build hotel – opened just 2019) bit of the 3 - lots of Pubs. It’s an urbanization with a communal pool. (You have to pay an additional community fee)
I recommend you go google maps and with satellite/street view you get a feeling for it.
The easiest way to visit Cartagena is catch the little train (€2,00 return ticket) in Los Nietos (every hour from 7am to 9 pm)
To search for properties:
The “comparison sides” of Kyero https://www.kyero.com/en/los-urrutias-property-for-sale-0l33098
gives you lots to choose from.
When you are having a budget keep in mind that you have to pay roughly 12-15% for notary & purchase tax.
If you have specific questions just write and I try to get an answers for you.

Thank you Marianne,
You have been very helpful. Do you live in the village all year round? I’d hate to think the village is more holiday homes and I would be the only one left during the winter. I am by myself.
