You can probably get a hire car cheaper than the cost of the taxi. Try Arguscarhire or Autoeuropa. Someone will probably have a horror story about one or both of them but I’ve used them regularly and had no problems.

Try Centauro car hire at Corvera Airport. You should also look at staying at Le Cumbre hotel in Puerto de Mazarron - it is cheap but it is also very good.

Cheers thank you. Unfortunately don't have licence at mo. Am booked in at la Galarica, mazzarom. Can't wait. Any ideas where to go eve as viewing properties generally during day. Sue

I have just returned from La Cumbre Hotel and it was outstanding, although limited facilities due to the time of year.

The hotel Cumbre is lovely as when we stayed nearby in a apartment we visited for a meal & drink. Walking disdance into port Mazarron. Food lovely & upmarket accommodation as for wedding etc. Worked out cheaper than our apartment. I plan to move out to this area in couple of years too. Lovely area. Let me know how you get on. Visiting Los Alcazares in April or Lo Pagan area as heard they are lovely too. Cartagena is great shopping area with newly built port area. Small train to Los Nietos near Mar Menor area is worth a visit as stop along way. Good luck.
