Did he go to an official licence renewal office, where they check eyesight and health, test reactions on a machine and take his photograph?

If so he need do nothing and his licence will come through the post.

If he had any other sort of medical then I fear he has wasted his time.

Well if you don't receive post where you live, then I would suggest that you go to the DGT office and inform them of this and arrange to pick up your husband's new licence there or maybe get a post box in your nearest Correos office and use this as your postal address? Surely if you never get post delivered to your house, then you must have made some arrangement for receiving mail in the past?

You need to set up a post box if you cant get post to your house…you might be missing some important correspondence!

I would also suggest that you urgently get a Digital Certificate - this allows you to register with the tax office, DGT, health service etc so that you get notifications via email of appointments, impending fines and so on.
