Hi Guys, hope you're keeping well and enjoying the greater freedoms.  I am currently considering purchasing a property at Roda.  I am aware that Roda is a peaceful and classy development but wondered if it may be too quiet for me.  Are there community activities going on?  Is it swamped by visitors and children in the July/ August?   What's the walk to the adjacent town and beach like?   Are there any development plans?

Hi, I rented for 1 year a couple of years back. Your right that its a classy development. Its very peaceful out of season and certainly not overrun in summer. The down side is you really need a car or bike to get about. It can take up to 30 minutes to walk to the main gate or to the golf club and gym depending on your site lication. Then from the gate its 15/20 minutes walk to the supermarkets plus another 10 minutes at least to the beach at Los Alcazores. Going inland from the gate its just 10 minutes to Roda Village which has a couple of nice bars and cafes. Personally I found it too quiet and a bit clicky. I moved to Santiago de la Ribera and would highly recommend there and lo Pagan as worth looking at. They are very Spanish butalso have a good expat community. Just my thoughts obviously. Just back from the front in these areas you can find nice properties at roughly half the cost of buying on Roda golf.

Cheers Mike.

Hi Mike, thanks for getting back to me.  I did wonder if it may be too quiet for the likes of me.  Yes the nearness to town was a slight concern but then that is one the place is peaceful.   I will have a glance at the other areas you mentioned as it is important to weigh it all up before committing your self financially.  Take Care
