We have made an offer on a lovely townhouse in Dolores which has been accepted.

Visited 3 times last week before returning to UK yesterday.

We are out again in late May and hoping to have completed by then.

My wife and I love cycling and she loves the Mar Menor and she swam in it a few days ago. (Wet suited).

We holidayed nearby last year so we have an appreciation of the area but obviously we are really looking forward to finding out more and getting some Spanish phrases under our belts.

Holidays for starts, I'm working on moving out permanently once she joins me in retirement in 3 years.

I (68) got my first contact with Spanish through Duolingo 2018 >which is FOC<…….(if you go with google chrome you can “speak” in the lessons)

Then I started Busuu (2019) OK costs about 20,00 a year…. got through them my first A2 certificate

Now living in Spain (2020) having 1:1 lesson……..

At 67 years I have also committed to learning the language of my country, Welsh.

I'm going to be a busy (and probably very confused) boy!

We’re also in Dolores de Pacheco. Where abouts are you? We’re in the new estate as you come in from roda. We’re also from Scotland (Renfrewshire).

As you enter from Roda we are on the right, on the edge of town looking over open fields.

Are you living there or holidays?

I retired early some years ago, my wife will do the same in just over 3 years.

So it's holidays only at the moment for us. I can see us taking out the NL Visas and spending a lot of time there when she finishes.

We are out in May (17th) to finish the purchase if all goes to schedule.

We'd be delighted to meet for a chat. We've seen a bit of the area but obviously we don't know much.

Pete and Linda.

Hi,

We moved out here to Dolores permanently just before Christmas, having owned our place for four years.

It's a lovely village with a good Spanish feel. We live in the town houses across from the new builds.

The weather has kept us in over the last few weeks, but it looks set to pick up now, so we are looking forward to lazy days on the Solarium over long lunches...

Happy to share a glass of something with neighbours.
