Living in Roldan

Hi to all,
My wife and I are fingers crossed coming out to Spain in early September to look at property.
We are planning a permanent move and think Roldan would be ideal for us. Although my wife drives we would prefer to use public transport.
Can anyone advise as to what Roldan is like to live in and how safe is it.
Any information would be greatly appreciated as this is a big step for us and we want to get it right.
