I am looking at bank which to use to deposit funds in before we buy a property in Spain, I am comparing the UK banks and am wondering about Spanish banks, I already have a Santander account in Spain, any ideas welcome.

If you want to pay your purchase deposit, final funds and utility direct debits free of charge, use Transferwise. I also have a Starling Bank account which accommodates both gbp and euros in the same account/same bank card. With Starling, all you are charged for is withdrawing funds from a cash machine in Spain (and this is something that can't be avoided). The service and efficiency of both Transferwise and Starling are brilliant. Good luck!
