There is a label on the front of each bin with pictures. The green pedal ones are general waste, yellow one is plastic and cartons and the blue one is cardboard and paper. The round green one is glass. There is now also a mobile eco park that comes to the village on Tuesdays, outside the civic centre where you can recycle electrical, oil, batteries etc.

"Don’t want to upset anyone."

Not much chance of that...I go to the bins within the legal timeslot (clearly labelled on our bins) and sort the plastics, paper, glass and clothing into the right bins, then take the household waste across the road to the appropriate bins.

Littered around the bins is assorted (i.e. unsorted) rubbish, cartons, old water heaters and food waste that the local residents could not be arsed to take over the road.
