They would stop you touching your eyes.... which I do without thinking!

Yes indeed, Andrea, which is another reason for having them on the flight, although I've become quite conscious of it which makes me stop! We actually managed to buy some in Leroy Merlin which we have to assemble ourselves. They're pretty flimsy but with the masks as well it's an added protection.

How our world has changed. Who would have thought we would be discussing this a few months ago. Let's hope next year we will look back and say "oh all that was 2020"

I'll be following your method when I fly to the UK and I am so glad I live here. Safe travels throughout.

Hasn't it just? We're going back to the UK as we both have elderly parents that we haven't seen for months and to start preparing our house for long term rentals and will be applying for residency here as soon as we get back in September. Spain is where we feel we belong now.

Good luck with your travels too, Andrea, and to anyone else who has to fly.

The rules say face masks must be worn.

You could potentially be asked to remove the visor and put a face mask on.

So it's probably not worth buying them.

It is face masks you need not a visor, you're mouth and nose are to covered.

Why do some people, Roland and Niffajl, have to try and have little digs all the time? If you'd read the whole thread we have face masks and will be wearing them as well as the visors which are for extra protection on a flight.

Please read threads fully before making judgement.

Hi I wasnt having a dig. I was stating that it is a face mask you need not a visor.

Certainly wasnt meant to be offensive.

On flights that it seems do not filter Covid-19 = all of them, short haul and long haul, this virus finds it easy to enter your body via the eyes so any extra security is worth a few Euros. I know there's a limit . and the virus is still a mystery with scant chance of a vaccine. Visors are not a fashion accessory in this instance but you are right they are not as good as face masks. Take note UK hairdressers! And we will all lose weight on European flights! ! There has to be a bonus?

Hi Niffajl, thanks for responding and I won't take offense. I just want to take as many precautions as possible.

Stay safe and healthy.
