Thanks for that info all of you but alas the simple answer is I've got to make 17500euro shown in my spanish bank account.and go back to Murcia.Im still going to save around 750 euro by not going through solicitors etc because one I've learnt here in Spain is this? We should all get off our asses and try it ourselves language is a barrier but by perciviering it's amazing what you can do.

Hi, your message made me laugh.

Back in the UK I had 2 instances of identity fraud. Two bank accounts were set up in my NAME, my UK ADDRESS zero put in the account. However, the overdraft facility on each account was £1,200 and £2000 !!!!!

Bank cards were sent to my UK address (outside postbox) and hey presto they got away with the overdraft amounts.

I didn’t have to pay though as the Fraud teams got onto it.

But how could anyone open a bank account (apparently they did it online) with no money in the account and get an overdraft facility. Well they did.

Perhaps the criminal way is the way to go!!!!!

Happy residency !

Hi do you mean green cards by residency? We did not need any amount in our account. We received ours last year. If you live in san pedro need to check rules in cartagena office. They are different for different municipality. Maybe rules have changed since then. My friend did it for me everything ...

...from getting nie to the green cards. I can put you in touch with him if interested. We also heard solicitors take your money but don't actually know the law.

Hi Yanaandcraig,

Would you mind forwarding to me your friends contact details please. I am applying for my residencia and my Spanish is basic.

Many thanks

Lorraine
