Do you know how much they charge per kw?  I am paying 0.129774 per day for potencia of 5.75.  It’s far more than I need so intend to reduce it

Ours is 0.123443 for  5.75 potencia per day

Thank you Roland, this is so useful to have.

Just a further question. Do you or anybody know if IBERDROLA have a low usage type electricity contract for customers using little or infrequent electricity if for example they are not in residence much?

N, they don’t have a holiday home tariff , they have an all day or a night tariff. The night tariff gives nearly a 50% discount in 12 hours from 10pm to 12pm in winter and 11pm to 1pm in summer, so put your washing on overnight, heat your water during these times and cook before noon/1pm daily and it works out well.

Our bills for months when we are not here are around 39/40 euros. This month during lockdown, the bill was 55, and in February/March when it was cold and we used air conditioning to heat house in the evenings it was 75 😁. We don’t live fridges and freezers on when we go, our keyholder usually turns them on for us the day before we get here and we have the boiler and lights on internet enabled timer switches, so we turn them on from anywhere in the world.

We do leave the electric on for our cctv cameras; you are charged for 5kw a day regardless of whether the electric is on or off, and the cameras use 1kwh per day, so essentially they don’t cost us anything to tun.

Hope that helps 😊

I did some calculations a year or so ago & they showed that unless you are a full time resident  then the night & day tariff would work out more expensive.

I guess it depends what you have running/are doing...even when we are here we are working, so computer and 3 monitors on from 9am -6pm weekdays...then again iberdrola say they use little. Our calculations show that we are saving using the night tarrif; our rental.apartment is on the all day ( as obviously we don't know when renters will be in/using) and the bill for jan

/Feb where we had people in for 10 days was 72 euro😱

Be very very careful with people like Nordic Energy there are some hidden charges that they don't make very clear.
