Hi,

Went to the Town Hall to pay our first Council Tax last year and hoped I'd got them to set it up to pay by Direct Debit this year.

As of today no monies have been taken and when we were last over in mid July there was no bill waiting for us. I e-mailed them when we got back in July to get confirmation of the Direct Debit but no reply has been received.

Have people received their Council Tax bills and have direct debits been taken?

Also tried to visit the Town Hall in July but it was appointment only and we were leaving the next day. Is it still appointment only?

Thanks for any help.

I do know that I went to Mazarrón town hall today with a friend who needs a new copy of her Padron and she was given a number to ring as you need to make an appointment. However she just kept getting told to hold .... I too would like to know what happens with paying the IBI bill as we didn’t have to pay last year.

Anyway the Town Hall is not letting anyone in without an appointment.

Due to the pandemic and state of alarm, all Ibi and car tax has been deferred. Car tax due in June is now payable by 20 October, IBI due in September will now be taken in November this year.

Please check:

http://agenciatributeria.carm.es

*then oficina virtual

*then tributos locales

*then duplicado de recibos

Once you have your "recibos", be ready with your NIE, no. fijo recibo and the amount due.

then go to "pasarela de pagos carm"

The lady from San Pedro Ayuntamiento patiently explained this to me.

Thank you for taking the time to reply Celia. We did manage to get over last month and sorted it out. Still another few days of isolation to go!
