Hi - my husband is due to return tomorrow the hired car we have to Alicante airport (from goldcar but booked through do you Spain) then was supposed to collect another hired car (again from goldcar via do you Spain). We contacted do you Spain but they told us we have to speak to goldcar directly. We have now contacted them several times since last week and are told that someone will call us back - no one has. We also got an email address and contacted them but again no reply so far.
My questions  are - has anyone had to return a car to airport during lockdown (unsure if allowed to)? Then if car hire desk isn’t open to collect replacement hire car is there taxis at airport even if there are no flights around the collection time? Otherwise my husband has no idea how he’ll get back home.
We have also tried to call Alicante airport but couldn’t get through.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi, I can’t help with your specific query as I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

I believe a bus leaves from outside the arrivals (upstairs) terminal going south to San Javier/Cartagena at around 2pm....it might be worth you/your husband doing some research on this just in case you may need it......if it is in service tomorrow.

Maybe you will let us know how your husband fairs tomorrow...

Good luck.
