Ribera Restaurants
We cannot wait to get back to our Ribera holiday home....our last visit was in July last year.
Have most of the restaurants in and around the high street survived the implications of the pandemic?

a few not open especially those with no outside space as they could only open terraces for a while. Most have survived by offering take away and delivery....but only just!

Hi
Yes the restaurants and bars in the village have survived, and most are currently open although because of restrictions limited hours.

That's really good to know. We bought our property 16 years ago and are missing Ribera big time!
We are used to getting over 4/5 times per year and at the moment can't see any opportunity opening up for months. We've both had our vaccines (2nd dose due in 7 weeks) and would feel pretty safe when coming over.
How's the vaccines going in Ribera?
And many thanks for replying!

As you asked.
The vaccinations in Santiago La Ribera are not up to the uk standards, the vulnerable and care home residents and staff have had there vaccines and have been told by the medical center and doctor that most over 65s will be vaccinated by the end of April, however that being said, nothing is set in stone.
The medical center has coped very well during the crisis and people are obeying the rules, although some may think they are strict, I personally consider them to be necessary and so far seem to have worked with the perimeter being closed, just hoping that over Easter we don't get an influx of holiday makers breaking the laws and coming to the village.
I am sure you will enjoy your second home when you can manage to get back.
