Garages do not do ITV testing, unlike the MoT in the UK. tests are carried out by dedicated centres. You simply find your nearest one (e.g. San Javier), book an apointment on line, then drive your car there. Certainly at San Javier the staff are very helpful, and will often take the car through the process for you, especially if your Spanish is lacking.

It is a good idea to book a service and pre-ITV check with your usual servicing garage.

We have two ITV stations in San Pedro del Pinatar. One is just out of town on the N332 heading towards San Javier, and is located on the right-hand side of the road just before the Renault showroom. They are open weekdays from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. no appointment necessary. It's a brand new ITV station and they were very helpful when I went in the other day to see if it was necessary to make an appointment. I don't know if they speak English as I spoke Spanish with the lady in reception but I'm sure they have English-speaking staff to attend to the many English-speaking car owners in the areas. Usually, you can ask them to take the car through for you while you wait. The other ITV station is opposite Lidl by the boat roundabout. I don't know what hours they are open.
