Hi all

My partner and were due to fly out on May 22nd to start searching for our retirement property. But Covid has stopped this. Due my partners profession we can only travel during school holidays. Cost £720 flight only..

Yesterday jet2 contacted me and offered me the opportunity to change my flights or other options..to help Jet2 we decided to change flight to next year dates May 28th again school holidays..Jet2 wanted another £122 so for 2 flights £842 from  Birmingham to Murcia.

I am finding this increase extortionate. Jet2 can kiss my ****

I will now be asking for my money back

Jet2 fly my route Leeds Bradford to Alicante but I have never managed to get a reasonably priced flight from them for years now.

They are normally 3 or 4 times more expensive than Ryanair.

Good luck with getting your money back, you will probably get vouchers trust upon you.

You will probably need to do a charge back with your card company to get actual money back.

We got a refund from Jet2 for flights March to May with no problem. Money refunded to our credit card - only snag is that Cajamar want to charge to transfer the repayment into our current account as if we are borrowing funds on the card...

Andy,

My experience of jet2 is that the flight prices fluctuate so there'll be some change between now and next May, so you may get those flights cheaper after Christmas.....as long as the voucher lasts that long.

We have family and friends who always fly with Ryanair from Birmingham to Murcia International....always cheaper, even when you add on a 10kg bag.....

Ryanair have the hardest seats, the worst customer-service attitude and perform the hardest "slam it into the runway" landings - but yes, they are cheap.

PeterC’s right that’s why we now use easyJet normally similar prices but you get more as std, such as 10kg luggage etc plus better seats and easier to deal with

I very rarely fly back to the UK but returned last Christmas with Jet 2. Alicante to Stanstead.

The cost of the flights leaving on the 22nd December and returning on the  3rd January was 89 Euro this include booked seats both ways/

I found the seating and service excellent reminded me of the old days when i used to fly with BA from Gatwick to Murcia.

I would certainly use them again.

Another plus on my return got the bus from the Alicante Airport to Santiago La Ribera cost 5,15 Euro

Can’t deny jet2 flights are in the main at good times, certainly nothing too late in an evening.....and probably why their flights usually cost more...

What’s the name of the bus (bus company) you got from Alicante airport downtown to la Ribera?

Thanks....

Hello Anni

The bus company is as per web site below.

http://globaliaautocares.com/paradas/

Hope this helps

I thought Jet2 cost was very reasonable at 89 euro return?

Regards

Ed
