Hi

La Ribera is quieter in the winter months but still plenty of shops bars and restaurants open.

This is a Spanish town so you will not find the English type Christmas as the Spanish celebrate their Christmas meal on the evening of 24th so many places will close early.

As chrissywissy said the 3 Kings is the main fiesta on 6th January and parades in most towns and villages.

I have been a couple of times in the winter and it is very quiet. My immediate neighbours are the only couple who live on our street all year round. I was there for the whole of September and it was fairly quiet towards the end of my trip. I'm coming back in 2 weeks time for another month. I like it when it's quiet. It's great for cycling as there isn't much traffic on the roads. I would like to visit at Xmas.  I've been mid December and it was extremely quiet.

We have been over the last 3 Christmases....IT IS QUIET...!

There are a few restaurants open but Christmas Eve is Family time so pretty much everything is closed but reopen for Christmas Day.

We went to Alicante last Christmas Day and it was very similar.

Good news is the weather has been good each trip although the temperature does drop significantly in the evening.
