Hi can anybody help please. Have to go to Cartagena police station to register  so we can get our residency. Will we need to take a translator or will we be able to do it ourselves. Kindest regards Vivien

If you have all the paperwork filled in when you go you should be fine - unless you are really unlucky with who is on duty. We got Gloria @ QML to make the appointment, download and complete the form and had no problems - though I manage most things in Spanish.

I cannot remember if there was any fee to pay and how much/where we would have had to pay it - you can never pay money in any police station. We were only changing our address from Andalucia to Murcia (and getting the status to say permanent residency while we were at it) rather than making a first registration so it could well have been free.

Suggest you check with Gloria.
