Hi, we're new to Santiago (since August) and would like to learn to speak the language but so far lessons seem very expensive and were on a budget (Brexit and Pandemic raiding our bank accounts) so, does anyone know of cheap or even free spaninsh classes? I had read somewhere of local authority doing some of this but havent found anythng since arriving

Hi Ray, have a look at the Passport 2 Talk website. Susana does classes or online individual lessons and she's very good for conversational Spanish and great fun.

Hi Helena, yes we spoke with her but her fees are way more than we can pay currently.

We are going to see Luis tonight and hopefully this will get us on the right track.

Thanks for your input though. At some point we will have to start looking for a social life as well as my wife is definitely struggling with the new environment.

Cheers

No problem and hope you can find something suitable soon.

crissywissy,

unfortunately my wife is working (from home remotely) and can't leave the house during the week for very long so nice though this sounds we may well not be able.

However if we can at any point we'll trot along. How would we recognise you all? Red Carnations in the lapel?  :)

That is so helpful i cant tell you.

Ribera RV park is a short walk from our house so this is something we will definitely be able to get to.

Thank you very much..

Cheers
