Hello there,

Does anyone know of a really good car rental company at MJV.  I visited in 2015 with my family and wanted to know if there was a better company than Firefly - with whom we had a bad experience.

Thank you.

I have used them all, Centauro is in my opinion the best.

Regards.

David

Hi,

I use Coysrentacar, for many years and about 6 times every year, and they are super, a chap waits for you with a sign, paperwork all done takes 5 mins, prices are great with no hidden cost, I always pay for the extra insurance which is well worth it, the cars a nearly brand new. Good luck

We have always used centauro from the airport,if you are booking from the UK,you can book through Economy Car Hire,it's cheaper through them than booking direct with centauro themselves.google and check them out, they are 5 star Which endorsed giving you free insurance, and a fair fuel policy, full tank for full on return.

We are using Lara for a couple of years now. No extra charges, extra drivers insured. No extra charge for child seat.

Like Ericka62, we use COYS. They're not the cheapest but their service has been superb. Friendly, efficient and easy to deal with. Try to book well in advance to get the car you want though. One time I booked with them the day before, cost me slightly more than I wanted to spend as they only had larger vehicles but the hassle free service more than made up for it. They also do collection and return from different airports. Last time we flew into Alicante and returned via Murcia.

Like most people I've had bad experiences with car-hire. One time at Faro in Portugal, the assistant was walking round the car tutting and shaking her head, writing stuff down on her pad. All until she realised I was following right behind her videoing the car from all angles. She tore up her notes in front of me... You won't get this with COYS!
