Initial funds

Evening all,

I saw a post earlier that mentioned requiring at least €8000 in a Spanish bank account before you can apply for residency? Is this correct? Obviously my partner and I want to relocate and start again, we have come through a difficult period and don’t have that sitting around in savings, obviously we agree it’s wise to have a certain amount of savings however in the current climate in the uk it is near impossible, I’m not looking to be rich (financially) I’m looking for a better life... any update on this would be appreciated
