Hi,

We are in the process of buying a house in Yecla and I wondered is this forum is still active?

Last comments were a few years back. Are the English and Spanish group still going?

Thanks

Janiene

Hi there,

I am not in Yecla itself but I don’t think that the group still meets up. But I will find out for you and let you know. However there are still lots of English people living in and around Yecla who you are bound to meet when you go shopping!

Also the local Adult Education Centre runs evening courses to learn Spanish so you would meet people there if you decided to subscribe.

Keep in touch

Janice

Hi Janice,

Thank you for replying and yes I heard that I will meet people shopping and most likely on Aldi!
I will definitely look into the Adult learning centre so thank you for the tip.

We are in Yecla on Tuesday to sort the house so might have a walk around the town and see what’s what.

Thanks

Janiene

hi Kevin.

Guess you’ve been here a few years now, settled in and found the answers to your questions.

We moved here in December 23 and are pretty much in the same situation as you were. We live on the RM 18A out of Yecla and willing to help anyone that needs a hand.

Looking for a builder to remove a chimney, fit a pellet burner and maybe reform a bathroom. Always up for a bit of local advice.

Regards Grant.

Good morning, Grant.

Thanks for your reply. I am a bit more settled but not quite there yet. But I live in hope.

Anyway, I don't know if you know someone who can lay block work well and give an on-site quote.

The first task is to lay three 1-metre-high walls in a straight line of approximately 120 hollow blocks, 40x20x20 cm. (This is to form the basic structure of a small conservatory. The footings will be the floor already there, and the site is clean and dry)  Hopefully if you know someone and we can agree on the work that would be a start.

Hope to hear from you soon.  Kevin      +44 7958677445    [email protected]
