To far to go , when I can use Tesco in the port, dont get me wrong I like to shop in supermercado but also like tetley tea bags, so Tesco's is a good idea, hope it turns out as good as the spar used to be.

Graham - Clearly no sense of humour.  Just trying to be jovial.

I like Tetley too aswell as HP Sauce.  So what have you got to say about that.

Lost my humour this morning, must be due to fact that I'm stuck in the uk for next 4 months, it's been raining for 2 days now its freezing cold, to top it off I've forgot to defrost my white bread and I've run out of tetleys had to have a cup of pig tips,  but hope you have a lovely day .

There are some seriously sad people on here, "I like Tetley tea bags, Frozen bread, Pork pies, HP sauce" etc.etc, everything pre packed and imported, help the local economy and forget using British supermarkets. Forget about asking where you can get the best must have Sunday roast and full English breakfasts.  Please get a life, forget about the UK, wake up and smell the coffee you are now living in Spain.

Not for me thanks.

Probably be busy for a few weeks then tail right off.

English brands are available already in Consum & in the mini market on A if you really want them.

Biggest attraction of this new supermarket is its Sunday opening hours I would think.

Mercadona steadfastly refuses to open Sundays.

Plus Mercadona re building a massive new store on that new retail park near Aldi.

I'm not sure if you're in favour of Sunday opening or not Roland so this reply isn't directed at you.

Personally I prefer the Spanish tradition of having Sunday free of shopping. It you're retired and living in Spain you have six days to go shopping. Maybe it's just the one's who want to create a 'little England' in Spain who are most active on these forums. It would be nice to hear more from the one's who wish to embrace and protect the Spanish culture. Sadly I think the culture in England was lost some year's back!
