Hi. We will be wintering in San Pedro del Pinitar Jan Feb Mar 2019.

I will have been studying Spanish for 9 months by then here in England and wish to continue my studies in Spain. I have looked at the posts on this subject but most are 2017.

May I ask if there are any groups still meeting. I want Spanish conversation.

Hi 

My son and his wife are visiting us in San Pedro del Pinatar this week, and it is her birthday on Tuesday 17th July. He would like to hire a speedboat and driver to take her out to somewhere romantic for lunch on Tuesday lunchtime. Anyone on the forum have any suggestions, together with costs. Any alternative ideas welcomed.

They have to be back in San Pedro at about 5pm to bath the kids 😂

Firstly Thank you for those that post on the forum. I read the daily updates and find them very informative.

My husband and I are 53 and 52 respectively and would like to retire abroad. We have been looking at Costa Calida as the climate, especially in the winter, sounds great and the property prices hopefully will be in our budget. 

Although we are well travelled we have never been to this part of Spain. 

We like the look of San Pedro area.

We would like to come over next April for 3 weeks to get a feel of Costa Calida.

Can you lovely people advise of any areas to visit properties and where would be a good area to base ourselves.

We would like to retire where there is a good community spirit with some expats as we do not at the moment speak Spanish but we will of course try to learn. We would need to be within walking distance of shops bars restaurants and if we could walk to the beach within 20 minutes that would be fab. A public pool would be a bonus too. Not a lot to ask!  We will not be looking for employment. Of course the move abroad would be dependant on the Brexit outcome. Fingers crossed.

Hi there all, my wife and I have recently purchased an apartment in Lo Pagan, which needs a fair amount of work which is in hand, but I want to do the decorating ( I am pretty good at it) and have tried the local primer undercoats with varied results, I can't find dedicated undercoat or water based gloss anywhere so would like to use Screwfix EU to deliver the materials I have used for decades and know give good results. The problem is who could  accept the delivery on my behalf as I'm in the UK.
