Best trees for boundaries - 3 replies

Tracey1963 Posted by Tracey1963 in Gardening, plants, insects and pests in Yecla on Sun Sep 12, 2021 2:40pm

We are looking to buy a place in Yecla shortly and the land around it is open. We would like to mark the boundaries of the property. What is the best type of tree to use or is fencing the preferred option??

Hello Expats,

I have lived in The Yecla area for over a year, and I am still struggling to meet local single retired people. I know the pandemic hasn't helped, however, It shouldn't stop people from meeting up and getting on with life should it?

I think we all know the feeling we get as single people when mixing with couples, even when the couples are really friendly. You just can't beat being with another person.

Are there any groups, clubs or gatherings in the wider Yecla area?       Is there any calling for such places?

Would appreciate any input on the above.

Kevin.

Markegan2105 Posted by Markegan2105 in Moving to Yecla: tips and advice on Sun Aug 8, 2021 4:58pm

Hi all, we are looking at moving to Yecla next year. We have visited and stayed there quite a few times in recent years. We really like the feel of the town and surrounding countryside.
I would be interested to hear the experiences of other UK expats who have moved there with families. We have 2 children, one aged 7 and the other 15. We noticed there is a bilingual school there and we felt that may be a good option for the kids to learn Spanish and integrate without being thrown in at the deep end with a solely Spanish speaking school. We would really appreciate any advice you have re schooling good and bad.
Have you found the locals welcoming also? They always seem friendly when we visit, but wondered if it is different when living there full time.

Also, it would be good to understand if there are any expat groups. We are aged 46 and 42 and are quite social so it would be good to meet other people who have moved to the area also.

thanks in advance

Hiya

Can anyone advise on the best method to keep flies at bay.

We have tried candles, sprays and electric zapper and still it’s difficult to sit on terrace without their company.  I’d appreciate any tips anyone has, I’m not talking about one or two.
thankyou

Can anyone recommend: Water deliveries for swimming pool - 10 replies

Coralyn60 Posted by Coralyn60 in Recommended Tradesmen and Companies in Yecla on Sat Jul 17, 2021 6:45pm

Hi Everyone

Seems an odd thing for me to ask, but I was informed that in some areas it’s possible to buy water in to fill the swimming pool, by the tanker full. We’re in Yecla and wondered does anyone know a company providing this service locally, as I’d be interested in doing this.

Thanks for your trouble I hoe someone can help.

Kindest regards

Lynn

Hello

Does anyone know of any pharmacy or private clinic in Yecla or Pinoso offering the Fit to Fly antigen C-19 test, for flights back to the UK.

Have read the wider forum messages about some clinics and pharmacies offering this so wondered about local options in Yecla / Pinoso areas.

Many thanks

Jax
