Hello/Hola

My wife and myself are looking for a property to initially use as a holiday home but within a couple of years move on a permanent basis. We have seen a number of dwellings that are owned by the bank and look good value for money.

We would really appreciate feedback on the area of Campasol, is it a nice place to live, are there any open air markets, pubs, super markets and activities.

Are there groups we can join to make friends etc.

Any feedback is greatly welcome.

Kind regards,

Steve

Camposol ...judging from what you are asking... has everything you are looking for...I have owned a Villa on sector D for 11 years...Camposol is very good value for the money ..don't just look at the builders Repo's that the Banks have up for sale ...check out the estate on Camposol you won't be disappointed.

Most of the properties that Bluemed had up for sale ...have been snapped up ...when they are sold the Banks that own them ... sell them Dept free ...any outstanding Dept's will be included in the asking price ..don't forget to add around 10% on top of the price paid to cover purchase Tax and legal Fee's.. Also don't bother putting a offer in on a Bank Repo sale as they are sold at rock bottom Price's.. The Banks do not flood the market with these properties ..they have been selling them off... a few at a time over the last 5 year's and the one's that are up for sale tend to go very very quick.so if you think you can go back home and return a couple of weeks latter to buy.... then you will find that you have lost the property.also make sure you have all the funds in place ..you will be asked to put down at least 10% deposit immediately...this should be given to you solicitor .(.do not give your deposit to the estate agents) the deposit is none returnable if you pull out.

@ Stevescott sorry for hijacking your post

@ Frequent Flyer Thank you so much for such a detailed reply, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer, as I said earlier it was a bank property that got me interested but my husband thought it sounded to good to be true, then was wary when another 3k was added then even more suss when the price went up, the reason given for the price going up was “it’s the last one” It’s interesting that you’ve said the banks release these a few at a time, so I’ll keep a lookout for this happening again.

Bluemed has a large agency ..in the port of Mazarron they seem to have some very reasonably priced properties ...all over Mazarron. Good luck.

I used Blue Med to buy my flat last year. They were really good and it all went very smoothly.  Their recommended solicitor did everything for me from doing my NIE and sorting out the bank and the amenities in the flat. Highly recommended.   From viewing the flat to getting the keys was 2 weeks.

Those particular properties are sold as completely empty shells - no kitchen no bathroom no lights just bare wires hanging down everywhere. The price is €59000 & non negotiable. I viewed the only one for sale recently. They are very small inside. There are bigger ones but they start at €99000. The bank are selling them off in small numbers at a time in an attempt to get the best price.

Thank you so much for your reply, you have confirmed to me what I wondered about the size of them, they did look small but its hard to tell when its an empty room, I sort of thought there would be no kitchen and it did show you bare wires at the lights, I did expect a bathroom tho !  We have also been looking at a lot of Classico style property, would you happen to know if they are any bigger in size ?

Yes they are & better value for money. Classico’s have a good sized rear terrace that the Monsorras don’t. I strongly advise you to come over & see for yourself. That’s what I did. Lots of agents offer free or discounted viewing trips.
