Chia seeds are widely available now in our local supermarkets and are easy to add to your food. Experts recommend 2 table spoons a day for you to get the maximum benefit. Put them in yogurt, add them to cereals, sprinkle on toast and in soup, they are so versatile. They are very rich in fiber, antioxidants, minerals, and heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
They have been linked to improvement in risk factors for heart disease and diabetes, as well as benefits for digestion and gut health.
