Stray cats make great pets
Hi there,
We live near Alhama de Murcia,we have so many cats.
Some quite tame and wonderful animals and a few very still shy, we live here for 6 months of the year and then return to Ireland as we have a house there which we seem to be unable to sell due to the instability of brexit.
We neutered 18 cats last year at our own expense, nobody wants them but we live in the country so they are safe with us and farfrom the roads.
We have a big old brick outbuilding where our very kind neighbor keep 3 food distributors filled up with dry food for the Spanish cats when we have to go back to Ireland.
Ireland unfortunately has the same problems with cats , so we have 5 cats all ex wild who travel with us, too and from Spain. Altogether we have around 20 cats now.
We will continue to neuter and feed them as more keep coming, fortunately a lot choose to just visit for food. I try to worm and flee treat them every 3 months I can’t really afford more as you know the costs.
It’s so nice to here that there are other people helping cats they are great pets and much misunderstood by many.
Best wishes to you and very good luck with getting the cat population under control,
Trish Yates
