Bring back the days when the bars on A used to play music outdoors until 2.30 in the morning.

Sat on our roof terrace in the moonlight listening to it with a snifter or two.

😁😁

Just to have a bar open would be good right now, seems like a lifetime ago .

If you are very unlucky like us your lives will be blighted by ridiculous levels of noise coming from the local ‘ bar’. We bought a beautiful villa - our final resting place- and knowing Spanish urbanisations as we do made a point of trying to ensure we would be safe from unhealthy levels of music noise. More fools us. We live 280 m up a hill from this bar/restaurant/now ‘entertainment centre’.It’s a nightmare. We measure the decibel levels. It’s so loud it invades every room in our ‘home’. We measure it it’s worst as 80+ decibels. The other afternoon I was having a siesta and woke up to some woman screeching ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’. Obviously we complain but are met by aggression. We will call the Guardia Civil who WILL take action
I speak Spanish but not well enough to cope with complaining to the Guardia. We need our Spanish friends to do that. We are 75, both retired headteachers and have managed to ruin our last days by spending €300 on our new ‘home. ‘. Some home if we have to clear out every time these morons turn the volume up to illegal levels.
Don’t make our mistake. All we asked them to do was turn the sound DOWN. After a life time of hard work we have made the ultimate mistake. We have not given up yet. We have good support from friends who have witnessed how destructive the noise is. First step will be Guardia who despite what we were told WILL take action. Also we are prepared to denounce them. Our lives and any future are ruined. Why can’t they simply reduce the volume? Wish I lived somewhere OVER THE RAINBOW!!!

Spain is a noisy place although I presume the 300 euros you spent on a house is a typo!

But it is noisy, I am driven mad by barking dogs, every Spanied and many Brits have at least one mad dog that barks day and night particularly during the cooler winter months, it's part of the landscape here.

I think you will find La Manga club a lot quieter in winter from late September onwards so your problem will get better but trying to do anything about noise in Spain is like holding back the tide.

Good luck.

I believe it all comes down to communication and the sincere wish to have a good relationship with you neighbors. You want to play music during the day? Your choice of music might not exactly be what your neighbors like (hard style house music, metal rock, classic/opera, whatever). So if you know who your neighbors are and you know your preference of music you can make an educated guess if your music is going to make your neighbors ears bleed. So you might not want to play your music too loud. Also when your neighbor is already playing music you might consider not putting on your music because before you know it the both of you will be turning up the volume constantly so you don't hear eachothers music and everybody around you will go mad. During the evenings, don't keep the music on too late and too loud. Some people around you might want to sleep. And talk to your neighbors. Ask them if your music bothers them, ask them if you were too loud late in the evening, ask them what they do and don't mind. It's not rocket sience I guess but I also understand that some people can't be pleased no matter what you do or how considerate you might be. In that case just use common sense and accept the fact some people might not like you.

I remember years ago when when it seemed every Brit had to have a place in Spain and then alter it. Constant sound of angle grinders!! You have to retain your sense of humour and adjust.

Camposol  2022

Whe bought a house in 2013 sextor D we have been living in Camposol for four years now with pleasure.

Unfortunately we live opposite our narcissits who is allo wed todo ever ijthing and we not .(boss in the street lives longest)

Two years ago in corona time  i did not fee well headache and throat pain could not swallow, I was very irritable in the

evening at 00.30 uur arn very loud noise from the TV from the neighbors, I wend outside to the neighbors across the street

or the TV can turn down .(doors and windows were open) otherwise I will call police with too loud voice ??

the next day we got app, that I've gone on rampage and the blame me.

And that the TV was because his wijf is bit deaf!!

We offered an escuo and told that due to illnes I shot out of mij shoe with the loud TV and could not sleep because of a headache noise haze before my eyes I ran outside or TV could turn down.

In between for a week I went to the hospital Cartegena because of terrible headaches and not eating and eyesight. (unfortumately Im blind in one eye) No problems from the neighbors all week.

And also had no contact with them, say no more just walk past us.  Unfortunately the sound of the radio too loud in de morning and TV loud

ty in the evening 01.00 uur hours of sound.  our neighbors next to us have no contact with them anymore.

One of the neighors who moved away now lives on sextor A.

Whe re still having trouble with that narcisist talking does n"t help. And still suffer his bullying, doors shut heart.

Car opposite our car parking so that no cars can pass. Ets ets bullying. And they are not Spaniards.

Yours sincerely,  CB
