We have lived very close to LORCA for almost 10 years and have never met a single British or Irish person who lives there!  Are there any?

We've now been in the Campillo area of Lorca since around the end of May and yes, we do occasionally hear UK voices in the Almenara Centre (not had time to discover Lorca City yet).  It would be nice to link up with other 'more established' ex-pats if only for a cafe con leche and pick some brains on odd subjects (e.g. delivery of logs for the winter)!!

Anyway, we're so glad that we discovered this particular area, it's certainly a bit of a secret!

Hello, K&E,

I just read your message and I'm sure you have settled into Campillo and are becoming familiar with the way of life in Lorca.

I have you managed to find where to buy logs for the winter, as I'm sure you have realises how cold it gets here in the winter months.

Have you managed explore Lorca yet?

We are retired and have lived in Purias for 10 years, if you would like to meet for coffee sometime just reply to this and we can arrange a meeting place.

Best of luck

Peggy
