In case you have not noticed it is not the UK it is Spain, and the Spanish treat there dog as working animals. Brits have no control over there dogs in the UK and they just do not care her they don`t even clean up after the dog has do it`s thing,they leave the mess on the foot path, the same with there cars parking on the path, it is illegal here, why move to a different country then try and change it to the one you left,

Totally disagree with your quote, we have two dogs that are very well behaved and yes we do clean up after our dogs.

They are treated a lot better than some people treat their children! And they are better behaved than some adults, I take it you don’t have dogs!
If you have never owned a dog, and brought it up properly  then you wouldn’t know.

As for working dogs, the issue I think is barking dogs!

chained  in a yard or left in a yard on its own all day/night to bark it’s self into madness isn’t a working dog, it’s cruelty 

I totally agree with Mrsubby, - depriving a dog of attention and companionship is criminal behaviour in my book. Guard dogs should be outlawed, there are many other more effective means of guarding your property. But of course more expensive.

Thanks Christine, yes that’s part of the problem, some people don’t want to spend the money in the areas of concern.

As for our dogs, they sleep inside at night, and get a good nights sleep, they very rarely bark of on evening, thus not disturbing anyone, 

We have lived in our property for over 20 years  and never had a problem and we get on well with our neighbours.

Life’s too short to be bickering.

Not all people in Spain treat their dogs as working animals mainly those in the Campo. It is not only Spanish neighbours that leave their dogs barking all day and night. But please tell me would you like to live where there are constant barking dogs??? I am surrounded by three houses that have dogs barking day and night, I have two other neighbours with dogs who don't bark unless there is a reason, and they get annoyed by the constant yapping and barking. It is not acceptable no matter where you live. Get real. People don't complain to be horrible or mean it's because they are genuinely are being disturbed unreasonably.
