 Hi Tried them yesyerday with 100 as a test  app said  sent with times very handy hopfuly arrives today  slowrr than expected but first time with veryfication 

Need to be 100% sure need to make house payment so a large amount   looking at a couple of others for this .a lot to learn

CurrencyFair.com usually give best rates. Not difficult to sign up. Rate at the moment is 1.1211

Buying money is no different to buying anything, just shop around. They all claim to give the  best rates but it's so easy to compare nowadays with the internet. Always remember the receiving charges and how to avoid!

I though a receiving charge was a thing of the past.

As far as I am concerned if I transfer 500 euro int my Spanish account that is what I receive have never known it any different except many years ago when  you paid cash money in to a bank they would mak a handling charg.

As for bank there is no receiving fee for amounts below €50000

That's true but the original poster is shifting money to buy a house and needs to be aware of the receiving charges for amounts over 50K, otherwise the costs can mount up.
