I was told that a good new air con unit is the best way to heat a large room and has the added advantage that it dehumidifies as well which will make the room feel warmer. Gas bottles give off moisture and I imagine pellet burners do as well.

Having said that you can't beat a real flame.

Unlike portable gas fires, Pellet burners do not release moisture into the home.

It's a dry heating system.

We had damp issues when using a portable gas fire. The Pellet Burner has dried the house out.
