Driving from Calais with a dog

I'm driving with mine too.  Going on le shuttle folkstone to Calais then stopping in Dijon and then girona before arriving near Los alcazares.  We are going end July.  I can let u know what hotels like and journey.  Not sure when you are travelling

Holiday inn Dijon toison d'or

Hotel costabella girona.

Did thru booking.com and then had option to contact hotel and sent me a message sbout our dog.   Within the hour it was all confirmed.  They are both pet friendly hotels just no where on the site to state u bringing dog so I emailed to be sure.  It's  €18 for the dog.  Both hotels have exercise areas and a 20 min walk outside main city.

Of all I researched these were the best in my opinion unless my budget was unlimited!!

Good luck and let me know how you found the journey.  How far u going down to in spain.  We chose these hiteks as it's 8 hours driving per day across the 3 days

My partner and I are travelling from U.K. to murcia region with our dog too. We would be grateful for any tips and advice re best route, avoiding tolls, pet friendly hotels etc.
