Hi all - I started with BMN then Bankia then Caiaxa (I recently closed my Spanish account due to the excessive charges). I understand Caiaxa have increased their charges horrendously of late for this service. Any recommendations on which is best bank to use. Thanks in advance. Karen

Free to operate the account online & you get a debit card for free cash withdrawals.
If you want a good non Spanish account look at Wise.com.
Only snag with the Wise.com account is that although you get a debit card for purchases you will be charged by the ATM operator for withdrawing cash.

Thanks Roland - I have closed my Spanish bank account. I just would like to know cheapest bank to withdraw money from using a UK debit card.

If you have a Santander bank debit card you can withdraw cash from a Santander branded ATM in Spain free of charge.
I don't know about other banks I am afraid.
