I used Money Corp last year to buy my home and it was smooth and pain free. They can usually transfer within 48 hours once you’ve contacted them and locked in the exchange rate.

We used Transferwise you get a Rate in which you do Transfer within 24hrs.

Thanks Tony, we ended up doing the same thing only Currencies Direct said it must come from 4 different uk accounts. We managed it in the end although it was a trying time for us

That's odd.

They just told me to split the money transfer into 20,000 euro chunks. Which I did. They all went out of our UK bank on a Friday and wound up with the Mazarron Solicitor as an aggregated total on the Monday.

No drama.

I've also done a few moves of personal money from my UK bank to my Spanish bank account, as well as a deposit payment to a Spanish Main Dealer for a car. No problems at all.

We have used Smart currency exchange twice - very good experience and rate both times

We use Afex, but because of the large amounts its better to shop around and negotiate the best rate. They all want the business and can make a difference when transferring large amounts as you know.

We used world first for out property last month. Easy all done via telephone and online. On transfer limits there and, just UK bank may require you to use BACs.

We Used KEY CURRENCY. AT A FIXED RATE 4 YEARS AGO..WORTH A TRY. AT THAT TIME WE GOT €1.11...WE SHOULD HAVE HELD OFF AS IT WENT UP TO €1.14..GOOD LUCK WE DEALT WITH TONY.

PERSONALLY I WOULD DO A DAILY CHECH TODAY IT IS €1.09..POOP.
