In email etiquette, online chats and/or forum posts, writing in capitals is the online equivalent of shouting. It's rude, so best not to do it unless you really do want to shout at someone. Even then, consider whether you'd really do it if that person was in front of you, and also whether it will get you anywhere.

Currencies direct are so proffessional and helpful and will give you any necessary guidance required. Be aware as we found out last year we didnt realise we had to arrange with our bank in UK to transfer whole amount required for purchase and we were only allowed to transfer 25k every day max ... Lesson learnt - make sure you have informed your bank that you will require to transfer a large amount via ( whichever agency). Good luck :)

Nothing he said was rude. It was accurate and, if taken in the right spirit, helpful.

Transferwise, definitely.  Did it last week for a house purchase. You can't go wrong with them! 

Try OFX. Used them before, good rates and service.

As suggested, remember the £25k limit with most banks.

If you can, transfer in traunches. It will smooth the rates and safeguard your money.

Remember, these money exchange companies are not covered in the event of default
