Your inquiry is a bit vague Look on C.A.B Spain... and it will explain the minimum requirements to live / to become a resident in Spain.

I’m asking as I’ve been told that you have to have a certain amount of money  to live in Spain not sure if this is true

If you intending to become a full time resident then yes you do need 'a certain amount of money'.

Each  area is different. If you intend moving to Camposol then you are better off contacting a specialist company/person such as Costa Calida property services based  on Camposol A or Debbie Shaw who is also based there.  Or join fb groups such as Camposol or Preguntas y mas murcia.

Hi we were told that if we owned property outright you didn't need proof of income or money in the bank for this area but it appears it has changed. We had our 1st residency appointment and they now require just over €9000 for us both in our Spanish account. We do not need proof of income.

We are using Fiona Harvey.

Hi all

We contacted our solicitor with similar questions, we were told that as we own our property outright and have deeds of such, there is no need for actual proof of income - this is obviously different for different areas and maybe changes depending on the way the wind is blowing or whether it rained yesterday?!

Thats correct but now you need over €9000 in your bank account. So have had to get a statement certificate from the spanish bank and also copy every page of our passports for Murcia region. We have 10 days to go back to them so they can continue with the next appointment
