Hi neighbours. How are we all doing during this Lockdown period?  Are we getting enough exercise to get rid of your cars or just sitting around around all day watching the clock tick tocking?  Many things that we all can do around the house to still keep in shape,

Happy Frogs. Work your legs and get your heart pumping. ...(squatting)Power Punching. Tone your arms and shoulders while boosting your circulation. ...Drawbridge. Lie on your back and bend your knees, holding onto your ankles if you canThe planking (that is, a front hold, hover or abdominal bridge)....

... This is an isometric core strength exercise that involves maintaining a position similar to a push-up for the maximum possible time.like going up and down the stairs many times. If you can manage it, 50 up and 50 down. If you haven't got stairs in your house high enough, then those steps in the garden will do the trick
In place of dumb bells presses, tin of tomato in each hand up and down to loosen your elbow joints. Swiss ball hamstring curl or Triceps dips
Hip raisingPush ups and drops, about 20 if you can manageSingle leg deadliftsIf you can do YOGA, that would be splendid.STAY INDOORS AND STAY SAFE.

Is this on the correct thread....banking?? Not exercising... just asking?

This is a general help or info on how to avoid boredom during the lockdown, and engage yourself in some kind of exercise to avoid obesity.

I rest my case.  Has the post been helpful to you? No, I guess not. Not trying to be obnoxious, subject now closed.

Please, please, PLEASE let us all think twice BEFORE we commit our own petty personal prejudices to print, condemning people with our condescension, and/or assumptions, ignorance and belligerance!

It IS an unfortunate trait in a great many of us, to polarise,- either to refuse point-blank to "get-involved" when we see injustice but yet refuse to speak out, - or conversely we jump straight in with two left feet facing firmly in the wrong direction, yet with all guns blazing nevertheless!

Much like this responder, I too suffer with COPD (in my own case being left with just one third of total-Lung-Capacity remaining), which can render the simple act of breathing an arduous task at times, and therefore mask-wearing can be seriously hazardous, and invoke an Athsmatic-Attack, or other choking hazards, vomitting and loss of consciousness.

The overwhelming majority of facemasks in use wordwide are NOT medical grade, nor anything like, and do more harm than good as they increase the concentration of any contaminants being re-breathed, as well as raising blood CO2 saturation levels with potentially catastrophic consequences for severe asthmatics, & other SERIOUS pulmonary problems! It is illegal to pry into the Health Records of others, which are HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL, as acknowleged in EU-Law! Instant fines up to 10,000 can, and ARE, dished out for breaches of this.

PLEASE be understanding, everybody has their own problems, rich OR poor, fit-and-healthy OR Disabled, restricted, & in life-limiting, constant permanent-pain. We are not interested in being molly-coddled, -we just want to balance-up the odds so we can compete more on a par with our abled-bodied friends and relatives! I wouldn't  dream of quizzing you on your finances- please do NOT press me for all the gory details of my medical problems, or you may just get TMI (Too Much Information)!
