Did you get any paperwork? A contract with an estimated sales price, agreement to pay you that sum (minus their sales commission)? If not, then do you have any witnesses to the agreement / conversation?

Whilst I agree that in an ideal world we should all be able to trust each other, for the sale of something that I assume is hundreds or even thousands of pounds, then you should have some paperwork?

The next step should be to complete a customer complaint form ('hojas de reclamaciones') and take that to the consumer office (OMIC), which is in the Town Hall in Mazarron.

I have been stupid, I did not get any receipt or paperwork and looking back I know I should of.

I thought the guy was genuine enough but once he has got peoples money he doesnt care.

I was thinking of legal options but I might try your suggestion first,thanks for your feedback and your time to reply to my posts. Stay safe and stay cool, if you can.

Is the owner / manager British or Spanish?

Do you have any 'large' friends or neighbours that could go and visit him with you and he might be persuaded to do the right thing?

Unfortunately not, I lost my husband a few years ago, and have become slightly isolated, especially due to my limited mobilty. He is british, and comes across as quite intimidating, to me anyway. Thank you once again. And yes I do feel that he has totally ripped me off with his dishonest ways, he is a crook in my eyes who hides away from issues when he can. He knows I need the money, but he still hasn't given me my share. No morals

Do you know that he has definitely sold the scooter? If so, how do you know?

How much did he sell it for? And, again, how do you know this?

It sounds like you've asked him for the money? If so, what was his reason for not paying it to you? What did he say?
