Good morning.

Could someone please give me some advice on behalf of a friend.

They don’t have their residence in Los Alcázares or a doctor.

But want to have there Covid Jabs.

Could someone give me advice please how they would go about this without having a doctor here.

Thank you

Danni

Do they have private health care? When you go for the vaccine you need to show id and medical card

Lots of people have had side effects and several people died! Just because it was kept out of the UK news until the story broke outside the UK, doesn't mean that it wasn't happening.

I've had both Phizer jabs in the UK. After the first one I had terrible side effects lasting almost a week, although to be fair, standing outside in the cold in January for two and a half hours didn't exactly help! After the second one three weeks ago I had a very sore arm, headache and nausea for about a week. I still feel pretty tired after having them.

I would rather go through all that than the dreaded Covid! The sooner we get international Covid vaccine passports the better. If people don't want the vaccine, that's fine by me....just don't expect the freedom that having the vaccine should provide!

I think this is unusual...I dont know anyone who had the Pfizer jab who had any side effects! We have our second one in May as we were told they had to be 3 or 4 weeks apart.

Not that unusual, some are luckier than others. I was happy to put up with it!

My daughter had the Pfizer vaccine, she is a care home worker, 34yr old, and she was ill both times. I was ill with my first Astra Zenica, and could well be with my second. But, as with poster before, just think what having full blown Covid could be like.

A lot has been written about this that is misinformed. Okay, so people react differently to illness, vaccines etc. We can only take our own personal experience as fact. I have had my first jab and only suffered a sore arm for a couple of days. In January I had confirmed COVID, unsurprising as my son is a paramedic and was exposed daily. I felt a really rough for a couple of days, lost sense of smell and taste a few days later, then for another 8 days just felt tired and run down. I get a little annoyed when I read people scaremongering by saying the dreaded COVID as if it is an out and out killer. The fact is if you are reasonably healthy it should not be much worse than the actual flu. I have felt a lot worse in the past from other illnesses than I felt with COVID, just that it did last a but longer but as I said at the start of this post, things affect people in different ways. I will add that I drink less than 7 units of alcohol a week, do not smoke and run 5km a day except weekends. So if you are someone who doesn’t look after yourself then maybe you do have cause for concern.

On the other hand, I am vulnerable, so I have been extremely cautious. Maybe over cautious, I  think my daughter and her husband thought. Until...... his mother, who has no underlying conditions, and his father, who has diabetes, insulin controlled, both contracted Covid, from a family member. He was in hospital for a week or so, until they got his diabetes under control, and then discharged. She however, ended up in a coma, on a ventilator, having had an emergency tracheostomy for 3 months ! She did survive, but has been left a shadow of her former self. Needless to say, they now don't think I was being over cautious ! This thing is real, and happening every day. Less so now, but let's hope the vaccination program and common sense succeeds in combating another rise.

You are exactly right. I did a Freedom of Information request to my local health authority in the UK about Covid deaths in my Town. I asked how many people with no pre existing medical conditions had died after contracting Covid.  98% of the people who died had pre existing medical conditions. Staggering!

I think Gloria is trying to say tongue in cheek that we haven’t reached the 13th May yet as we are still in April

My mistake I meant 13 April

...s. Staggering!

I am not saying the Covid-19 situation has not been & still is extremely serious but the way of reporting deaths is very very misleading to the point of being dishonest.

If somebody has died of absolutely anything in the last 18 months & has tested positive for Covid-19 within 24 hours then that is classed / recorded as a Covid-19 death !!

Run over by a bus / fallen off a ladder / broken leg / old age / flu / heart attack.

As Stevie100 says quite staggering.
