Can someone please advise me on getting an MOT in camposol?

My mum had her car taken, MOT’d and returned at a cost of €100??

he advised my elderly mum he had put €20 euros of petrol in her car only for it to flash the next day! my mum is vulnerable and elderly, I think this is extortionate and he obviously saw her coming!
is this normal?

Many thanks

MOT ( ITV ) cost is about right I would have said.

Depending on car etc, prices on this link.

https://www.healthplanspain.com/blog/expat-tips/118-all-about-the-car-itv-test-in-spain.html

Then the guys time collecting, waiting with & returning the car.

20 euro's worth of petrol is not really going to get you very much fuel at todays

prices I am afraid.

Sounds about right to me. Garages generally charge 50€ for the service of taking the car in to get its ITV and the ITV itself is around 38€. With the 20€ of petrol, that's your 100€ gone!

What a lot of balony (sorry guys). Simples, you take the car to the ITV place on the edge of Mazarron and pay €40 - job done.  This year (two weeks ago) I went by myself to get my 24 year old KA (nicknamed Peanut) to have its ITV - yes I was nervous but the very kind and good look guy there took it through its last two sections. My friends said that they paid their €40 and handed over the keys and the guys at the ITV took the car through so, in my mind, €100 is a bit of a toilet take. Karen

It's not, as you say a 'load of balony' or a 'toilet take' at all.

As soon as you have to pay somebody's time to collect the car, take it to the ITV test centre, wait with the car & then bring it back.

Time has to be paid for if you can't do any job yourself.

I agree.

I usually have the place that services our cars pick them up, service them  and check for anything that may need dealing with. Then take them for the annual ITV.

Only once in the last 4 yrs has anything needed attention beyond the normal servicing. That was a brake pipe replacement. I saw that the pipe had indeed been replaced and I saw the part that had been removed.
It's something I could easily have done myself, if I could have been bothered.
I used to do ALL the regular maintenance on my classic cars back in the UK.
I can't be bothered with that anymore. So I'm happy to pay for a good service provision.

If you own and use a car, you have a duty of care to ensure that it's safe on the road. If you can't do the necessary work yourself, you have to pay for someone else to.

Time is money. That's a basic business truth.

100€ is around the going rate to get someone else to take a car to get the ITV done. 40-50€ if you take it yourself, so I do not think that your mum has been ripped off.
