Having never driven abroad before I find it extremely useful to continue to use a RHD drive car and have so far never experienced any difficulties. It maybe all in my head, but being totally left handed the thought of changing gears with my right hand seems wrong and difficult but never having tried this before, as UI said, it could just be in my head

I am also left handed, it took less than a day to get used to changing gear with my right hand - once I'd remembered to get in the same side as the steering wheel ;-)

In my opinion, a LHD car makes everything else more instinctive, you'll quickly settle in - and be safer on the road too.
